Vol. 11: In Great Community We Strive

*|MC:SUBJECT|*
There is a certain kind of stillness in the air. It's the kind of foreboding that feels like the quiet before a storm... only this time, it's after the storm... a storm that has ravaged lives, taken away mass gatherings, and decimated any sense of normalcy. And there are more storms on the horizon, with no end in sight. How can one make decisions when there is so much uncertainty? For those whose careers and livelihoods literally vanished overnight, what kind of solace can be found in the unknown? There's no need to sugarcoat it: this pandemic blows. (No storm pun intended.)

We at GreatCo would like to take this time of stillness to offer a continued space for support. We may not be able to find solace in the unknown, but we can find solace in each other and in community. We're all in this together, and while our situations may be different, we are all likely experiencing similar losses.

Perhaps you have a new project or a story you'd like to share, or perhaps you just need someone to talk to, please feel free to reach out to us. We're here to support, to connect, and to lift each other up during these challenging times. If we can all find a way to shed a little light of hope and inspiration, perhaps we can navigate our way through this fog of collective fatigue.
As we are all striving to be better humans, we here at GreatCo are striving to implement practices of justice and equality into our company ethos as well. We work to represent the greater creative community by following a philosophy built on empathy, diversity, and inclusion. We are all working to constantly better ourselves, and we want to uncover any unconscious bias and do everything we can to stop injustice and racism in its tracks. As we continue this journey and constant process for betterment, we want to share with you a few resources that may help.

And in the spirit of community, we encourage you to reach out to us for any needed support, conversation, or resources of your own that you would like to share. We are all in this together, and together, we will build a more just and equitable society.
